approach uniform and reducing friction

One simple thing that helped me stay consistent was removing small decisions before going out, because when you hesitate it often comes from overthinking simple details like what to wear or where to go. You start to think about those hurdles and end up not going out. and when you reduce those decisions, it gets easier to take action.

I kept a basic outfit ready and used it every time during the week. which removed the need to think or prepare, and when the time came, I could just change and leave without debate. it sounds minor, but it matters. Kept it in my car or with me so I can get into my jacket or shirt and just go approach

what i set up:

- a simple outfit i did not overthink - a default location i could always go to (have 3-4 common locations) - a time window i could hit after work - a rule to not go home first

Planning ahead also helped in other ways, like choosing the location the day before and deciding how long I would stay, when everything is already decided, there is less resistance in the moment, and consistency happens much more smoothly.

Keep it simple but remove those hurdles that cause you to get stuck
