staying chill during sessions

A lot of people sabotage their sessions by rushing, the moment they get to the location they start scanning super fast, speed walking, judging themselves for missed chances. that anxiety builds until they crash out and leave early. They wonder why they crash out and decide to stop approaching. They weren't enjoying the process and relaxing into it. Like a surfer who's getting stressed about every wave that comes along instead of chilling and looking out on the horizon and catching a few good ones.

Staying chill is not about being lazy. You just want to be grounded enough that you can stay out longer, because time outside is what creates comfort, and comfort is what creates better interactions.

how i stayed chill:

- i slowed my walking down on purpose - I used extended breathing - I realized that I would feel better 5-10 mins after I arrived - i gave myself time to settle before trying - I laughed at things that happened - i stopped judging every missed chance - i told myself i can always come back tomorrow

You can hang back a bit, watch the flow, and choose moments that feel good. there are no rules that say you must force attempts every minute, and when you give yourself space, there is less pressure. then your voice is calmer, your body is calmer, and people respond better.

The other part is accepting waves, you can have a good day and then a string of rough days, that does not mean you are losing progress, it is just how this works, and staying chill keeps you in the game long enough to get through those waves.

watch the horizon, relax, enjoy the process, take extended breaths, get fresh air, get your steps up, and improve over time
